EDGE of Existence is a conservation programme of the Zoological Society of London that focuses on species which are both highly evolutionarily distinct and globally endangered. By supporting research and conservation in overlooked regions, the programme works to protect some of the world’s most unique and threatened animals; from the olm, to the white-winged flufftail, to the big-headed turtle.
Since 1988, the Rainforest Trust has saved over 50 million acres of tropical forest by purchasing habitat and establishing permanent, legally recognised reserves. Because their board covers all operating costs, 100% of any donation goes directly to land conservation projects.
The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), founded in 1969, operates in more than 40 countries, rescuing wildlife in crisis, combating illegal wildlife trade, and supporting conservation programmes that help animals and people coexist.
Conservation International focuses on the link between nature and people. By protecting over 6 million square kilometres of land and sea, they safeguard the ecosystems that provide our food, water, and help stabilise the climate. Their approach ensures that we protect global biodiversity, and also support the communities that depend on it.
